Career History

As a deputy project manager, security supervisor and logistics manager for G4S Risk Consulting Limited, Teresa Lines supports the FCDO as part of a security humanitarian team. Her responsibilities in this role including managing the day-to-day operations for refugees via various stakeholders, managing the project’s logistics and acting as a safeguarding specialist to support decision making. She also ensures the service levels delivered adhere to the team’s contracted terms and the client’s service level agreements, is the subject matter expert on all training platforms connected to the project and is responsible for crisis and risk management frameworks compliance to ensure business continuity.

Prior to this role Ms Lines was a freelance investigator management specialist, and in this role she gathered evidence on behalf of legal companies, conducted investigations within the public and private sectors, and built evidential cases.

Music Festival Security

Ms Lines has a keen interest in music festivals and the security and safety elements that go into managing them. At a previous Glastonbury festival she was directly involved in ensuring the safety of all those attending, and she cites it as a particularly challenging event in this regard. As a former freelance anti-harassment specialist Ms Lines focused on ensuring acceptable behaviour at major events such as sporting events and music festivals.

Military Experience

From 1987 to 2001, Ms Lines served at sergeant level as a chef in the 6th Battalion Light Infantry in the southwest of England. Here, she gained experience in front-of-house management, leading a team of 10 to 15 junior members of staff whilst overseeing the feeding of nearly 800 troops. She also regularly competed in battalion and company-level shooting competitions.

Hobbies and Interests

In her free time, Ms Lines enjoys spending time with her family, walking, reading, watching sitcoms and keeping fit. She loves to travel and following a visit to the UAE has taken a great interest in the culture and heritage of this region. She is hoping to visit Petra in Jordan, Sri Lanka, Russia, India and Washington DC within the next five years. In 2017, Ms Lines successfully climbed to Everest’s Base Camp 2 and since then has developed a keen interest in this mountain and its history.

Ms Lines holds a City and Guilds qualification in hospitality and catering and a degree in hospitality management.
